Tempest separates into two symmetrical halves with a clean magnetic pull, giving you direct access to the bowl, the labyrinth, and every surface that matters. If you are using the optional titanium filter, remove it.
If the pipe is heavily used, a quick soak makes everything easier.
Place the halves (and filter, if used) in a small glass with isopropyl alcohol, using just enough to cover the bowl and the labyrinth channels. Let it sit for a few minutes so the resin can loosen up.
If the pipe is only lightly dirty, you can skip the soak and go straight to brushing.
Use any medium-sized bristle brush to gently scrub the bowl and work through the labyrinth. The gunk comes off easily after soaking, but even without soaking, a little extra scrubbing gets the job done.
