Designed to be used. Designed to be brand new forever.

The Tempest was made to solve real problems, and one of the biggest was cleaning. We were tired of pipes that gunk up, clog up, and eventually get thrown out. So we built one that doesn’t.

Every part of the Tempest is designed to be cleaned easily, thoroughly, and endlessly. With regular use, the bowl and the internal labyrinth will naturally collect ash and residue. That’s expected. The good news is that it takes just minutes to restore it to like-new condition.

Step 1: Take it apart.

The Tempest separates cleanly into two pieces, making it easy to access every part that needs cleaning.

Step 2: Soak it (optional).

Soaking the pieces in isopropyl alcohol makes cleaning even easier, especially if the pipe is heavily soiled. Drop the pieces into a small cup or glass filled halfway with alcohol. You only need enough to submerge the bowl and part of the maze. Let it sit for a few minutes.

If the pipe isn’t very dirty, or if you don’t mind scrubbing a little longer, you can skip this step and go straight to brushing.

Step 3: Brush it out.

Use the included cleaning brush to gently scrub the bowl and work through the labyrinth. The gunk comes off easily after soaking, but even without soaking, a little extra scrubbing gets the job done.

Step 4: Rinse and dry.

Rinse with warm water, dry it off, and snap it back together. The Tempest will look and feel brand new again.

That’s it.

No scrubbing for hours. No boiling water. No weird tools. Just a few smart moves and the Tempest is back to zero, ready for the next session.
